Under the leadership of the Scheufele family, the Swiss jewelry and watchmaking house Chopard has experienced spectacular development to rank among the top international jewelry houses. Chopard’s historical activity has been the manufacture of watches since 1860. Louis-Ulysse Chopard, then aged 24, began manufacturing high-precision watches. Chopard is also known for the L.U.C Quattro watch, equipped with the L.U.C 1.98 caliber, which has four barrels giving the watch a nine-day power reserve.

It was not until 1985 that the first Chopard jewelry collections appeared with Le Happy Clown. Chopard becomes an official partner of the Cannes International Film Festival, celebrating its enduring passion for cinema each year with the creation of stunning designs and the legendary Palme d’Or. Chopard is a Maison with a concern for sustainable development, has converted its jewelry production responsibly and is committed to using 100% ethical gold for the production of all its watches and jewelry. Its steel watches, cases and bracelets will also be made from Lucent Steel with a recycling rate of 80% by the end of 2023, and at least 90% by 2025.
